Overview
Like most universities, Temple University Japan offers a catalog of clubs that students can get involved in. Clubs are a great way for students to meet new people and impact school culture. Temple University has a total of 18 organizations, with the new addition of the Radio Station. The Fashion Club is currently inactive, but could be active again soon.
Recreation & Sports Clubs
If you are looking to break a sweat or enter a new sport, one of these clubs may be for you!
Soccer Clubs
Futsal, for those that may not know, is soccer. This club’s goal is to play soccer and get to know one another better. Please contact one of the leaders of this club, Dhiraj or Rikito, for meeting times.
Mototsports and Karting Club
The leaders for the Motorsports and Karting Club pursues are Aaron and Robert; they meet on Wednesdays at 2PM in the Parliament.
The Cycling Club
The Cycling Club is very active, and they participate in trips and races as well. The leaders are John and Momo and you can also follow The Cycling Club on Facebook and Instagram.
The Kali Club
Pekiti-Tirsia-Kali is a Filipino martial art that use edged/impact/improvised weapons. The Kali Club aims to help members improve hand coordination and overall fitness. Meetings are twice a week, Tuesdays and TBD near the Ichigaya Station. Contact Benjamin or Savon with any questions.
Volleyball Club
Volleyball Club does not require any prior experience or skill set, as they are very welcoming. Meetings are held at the Minato City Sports Center every Wednesday from 19:30-22:00. Reach out to Robert or Aravind for additional details.
Music & Media Clubs
The A Cappella Club
The A Cappella Club holds at least one performance every semester and does not require that members have any musical background. E-mail Mary or Carine for meeting information.
Music Club
Music Club was created to allow musicians to practice and receive constructive feedback. Message Erika or Julian for further inquiries.
Performance and Video Production Club
Performance and Video Production Club meets on Monday at 18:30. Contact Savon or Teddy if you’re interested in audio editing, videography and performance arts.
Temple Radio Station
Temple’s Radio Station is fairly new; they meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:30-18:30 to practice their recording skills. For more details get in touch with Hiromi or Robert.
Leisure Clubs
Video Gaming Club
The Video Gaming Club is led by Anthony and Shimba. Members meet in the 2nd floor of Azabu Hall on Wednesdays at 17:00-19:00.
The Dungeons and Dragons Club
The Dungeons and Dragons Club was built so that players could get together and play the game. Josh and William lead club meetings that are held on Friday at 17:00-20:00.
Philosophy Cafe
The Philosophy Cafe welcomes all; bring your own snack or drink and stop by on Fridays from 11:30-12:30 to engage in discussions. Members can come and go as they please. Talk to Sayaka or Victoria if you have any other questions.

Fashion Club is currently inactive, stay tuned for updates.
Writing Clubs
The Journalism Club
The Journalism Club, also the Student Newspaper, covers similar content as the Radio Station with the audience also being Temple University Japan students. The Journalism Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 15:50-17:30. William or Cory are very helpful leaders.
UPRIZINE
UPRIZINE was founded in 2017, with the goal of creating conversation about intersectional issues at Temple. Check out their website or reach out to Tricia or Hikari.

Pride Club is home to Temple’s LGBT+ community, e-mail Juniper or Samuel on how to join.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association
IEA carries motives ranging from connecting student entrepreneurs to impacting local communities. If this sounds interesting, message Chris or Luis.
Veterans Club
Unlike most of the other clubs, Veterans Club only meets once a month and on Saturdays. This club assists fellow veterans in the academic environment. Michael and Robert lead this club.
