NEW Programs at Rikkyo University
In 2022, Rikkyo University opened two new programs for international students: the PEACE Program and NEXUS Program!
Let’s take a look at each program together!

PEACE Program – English-taught Program
The PEACE Program is a new English-taught program at Rikkyo that offers the following three undergraduate programs:
- PEACE CIC – Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Communication
- Global Liberal Arts Program (GLAP) – Bachelor of Arts
- Global Program of the Department of International Business Law – Bachelor of Arts in Law
1. PEACE CIC (College of Intercultural Communication)
PEACE CIC explores the following areas of study: Language Studies, Translation and Interpreting Studies, Communication Studies, and Global Studies. After completing the program, students will attain a Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Communication!
The program offers both Spring (April) and Fall (September) admission intakes, however with a tight admission capacity of 5 students! (For the admission requirements of this program, please refer to the Rikkyo University Admission page.)
2. Global Liberal Arts Program (GLAP)
In the Global Liberal Arts Program (GLAP), students will explore global studies in humanities, citizenship, and business, as well as, study abroad for one year in partner institutions!
The program offers both Spring (April) and Fall (September) admission intakes, with an admission capacity of 10 students! (For the admission requirements of this program, please refer to the Rikkyo University Admission page.)

3. Global Program of the Department of International Business Law
The Global Program of the Department of International Business Law offers courses including legal studies, contract law, international business law, and many more!
The program offers both Spring (April) and Fall (September) admission intakes, with an admission capacity of 8 students! (For the admission requirements of this program, please refer to the Rikkyo University Admission page.)

*Please Note: The application guide for the “Recommendation Entrance Examination” can only be accessed by designated high schools through a password.
NEXUS Program
Unlike the PEACE Program, the NEXUS Program is for those who wish to take a “first semester-long intensive Japanese course” to enroll in courses conducted in Japanese at Rikkyo University. The eligible departments include: the College of Arts, Economics, Sociology, Law and Politics, Business, Intercultural Communication, Community and Human Services, and Contemporary Psychology.
This program requires students to have a Japanese language proficiency of around N3 level (in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test) at the time of admission.
*Please Note: Admission to the NEXUS Program is also a “recommendation entrance examination”, thus only designated high schools are eligible to apply.
